Hi, everyone. What are your plans for today?
The Mitake Visitor Center is a facility for visitors located on Mt. Mitake, which serves as the east entrance to Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. When you visit Mt. Mitake, be sure to stop by the visitor center first! We can provide you with information about the hiking trails and nature around Mt. Mitake, as well as special information prepared by our guides.

- Mondays (except for weeks in which Monday is a national holiday or a Tokyo prefectural holiday, in which case the visitor center will be open on Monday and closed on Tuesday)

Take the JR Ome Line to Mitake Station, and then take the Nishi-Tokyo Bus bound for Cable-shita. Get off the bus at the Cable-shita bus stop, and then take the Mitake Tozan Railway cable car to Mitake-san Station. The visitor center is about a 10 minute walk from Mitake-san Station.

This wooden model is constructed on a 1:5000 scale. It allows you to easily see the landforms of the surrounding area in 3D. - Diorama zone
"Look, play, and feel!" is the theme of these dioramas, which recreate the nature of Mt. Mitake. Have fun while learning about the natural beauty of Mt. Mitake.

Program Guidance
- Guided walks
The forest is full of mysterious things. Take a walk with one of our guides, and see for yourself! No advance reservation is required. - Craft making
You can make simple crafts by using seeds and other natural materials. The only limit to what you can make is your imagination! - Slide shows
You can enjoy watching a slide show before you set out. Many new discoveries are waiting for you! Please ask one of our guides for more details. - Lecture room
Our lecture room can accomodate a maximum of 100 people.
